Canterbury is world famous for its 3 UNESCO world heritage sites, which include the Canterbury Cathedral. The location also gives The Cotswold Company a second base in the garden of England, Kent. The city is situated along the River Stour, against the backdrop of the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Canterbury is well known for its period buildings and cobbled streets. As such, it makes the perfect location for a Cotswold Company store, with its typically British influences.

Within the city, the store is situated on the prestigious Marlowe Arcade, which for years has been a main throughfare for trade in the city. The store itself is a stellar 6,000 sq. ft, taking up two floors. As a result, the store is sure to be a brilliant base for trade, not only for residents of Canterbury, but the wider Kent and East Sussex areas.

The Cotswold Company has ensured each inch of retail space is fully utilised, housing a wide range of products from the brand. This portfolio includes recent additions such as its home fragrance collection, and a testing station for its Pure Natural Collection of mattresses, which are all made right here in the UK.

Of the store’s opening, Lisa Coppin, Creative Director at The Cotswold Company comments: “We couldn’t be happier to be launching our third store in the past six months, and eighth store overall. The Canterbury location cements The Cotswold Company’s presence in yet another historic city, with a plethora of heritage behind it. In doing so, our brand is further aligned with our core values in appreciating master craftsmanship, and the rhythms of nature. What’s more, in opening this store, we’ve created further jobs in the Kent area, showing our commitment to investing in people, as well as places.”

The Canterbury store is open now. For those who cannot make the journey, the store can be accessed through a one-way video call with a member of shopfloor staff, that allows a virtual tour of the store, closer inspection of products or to answer any specific questions, just follow the Go InStore icon at the bottom left of The Cotswold Company’s website.
