Princess Beatrice birthday: 11 of the royal’s best fashion moments
On Saturday 8 August, Princess Beatrice celebrates her 32nd birthday.
The royal, who is the Queen’s fifth grandchild and is ninth-in-line to the throne, recently married property tycoon Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in a secret ceremony at the Royal Chapel of All Saints in Windsor.
The couple had originally intended to wed on 29 May at Chapel Royal at St James’s Palace, but their plans were delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Princess Beatrice paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth II on her wedding day, with the monarch lending her a vintage gown, which was designed by British couturier Normal Hartnell.
The Queen’s dressmaker Angela Kelly and bridal designer Stewart Pavin worked with the princess to make sure the dress was remodelled to fit her.
As a figure in the public eye, Princess Beatrice has been photographed wearing designer ensembles at numerous high-profile events, including the Met Gala, Ascot and the British Fashion Awards, for which she was a presenter in 2012.
In 2011, the royal wore one of her most memorable outfits to the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, pairing a blush pink Valentino Haute Couture dress with a striking fascinator by Philip Treacy, which she later auctioned for charity for over £80,000.
Two years ago, the 32-year-old mingled with celebrities at the Met Gala, wearing a violet gown by Alberta Ferretti for the theme “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination”.
