You can see and feel everything in clothes.” Now, Pinkvilla is all set to bring its maiden Awards event ‘Pinkvilla Style Icons‘ which aims to celebrate individuals from different industries, be it Bollywood, Sports, Business, Fashion, Television, Regional Cinema, and many more. So let’s just do a roundup of our amazing fashion designers now, shall we?
We have curated a very special list of our reputed nominees for the title of ‘Super Stylish Fashion Designer’: Anamika Khanna, Falguni and Shane Peacock, Manish Malhotra, Masaba Gupta, and Anita Dongre. These designers are exceptional at not only styling the gorgeous celebrities of the tinsel town, but they are also style icons themselves and why wouldn’t they be? Raising the bar and turning ordinary into extraordinary is what they do and this is a small tribute to them.
Anamika Khanna
Anamika doesn’t shy away from expressing her personal style but always makes sure to add her own unique twist to it. That is what makes her style very unique. Talking about her work, she is such a designer who has blended traditional Indian textiles and techniques with Western silhouette and tailoring. She is the first Indian designer to have an International label: Ana mika. She operates from a studio situated in Kolkata.
Falguni and Shane Peacock
Falguni and Shane Peacock’s style is smart and edgy with a tinge of eccentricity. Shane Peacock’s blue goatee sets him apart and the way he carries it is commendable. Well, this husband and wife designer duo are in the business for almost 15 years and with their edgy and out-of-the -box designs they have achieved immense international acclaim for their glam rock, statement outfits that have been worn by mega stars like Beyonce, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Kim Kardashian, and Jennifer Lopez.
Manish Malhotra
‘Loud and luxurious’ takes human form in Manish Malhotra. Manish loves the colour black and he doesn’t leave any opportunity to style this gorgeous colour in hundred different ways. Oh and another thing? Manish loves Gucci! Talking about Manish’s work, he is an Indian fashion designer turned costume designer. Manish has been enthralling us with his designs both in the world of fashion and films for almost three decades now.
Masaba Gupta
Masaba is gorgeous and her fashion screams ‘boss lady vibes’ to us. It is confident and bold and feminine. She is a lover of accessories and you can usually catch her wearing some adorable necklaces. Masaba is one of the finest Indian designers with her label called House Of Masaba. Youth today connect easily with her easy breezy designs and she indeed has become a household name.
Anita Dongre
Anita Dongre believes in blending comfort with style when it comes to her personal styling and we absolutely stan that in this house! Anita is the founder of House of Anita Dongre, an Indian fashion house. Anita’s brand advocates compassionate living which is an extension of her own personality. A vegan, environmentalist, and revivalist of local craft, her designs do not use any leather or fur.
