Boots HR director appointed as retail ambassador for disability and access

The Cupboard Office environment Disability Unit has confirmed that Boots HR director Ben Horner has been appointed as incapacity and entry ambassador for the retail sector.

He will be a person of 20 ambassadors from a variety of sectors who will also work jointly as a team to galvanise and stimulate accessibility.

The voluntary placement will see Horner main the way between retail business leaders to drive enhancements to the accessibility and good quality of expert services and facilities for disabled folks, both of those as customers and as workforce.

The incapacity and obtain ambassadors are appointed by the Minister for Disabled Persons, Chloe Smith MP.

At Boots and No7 Elegance Firm, Horner has introduced a number of initiatives to assistance disabled staff associates, including new workplace adjustment processes and assistance passports. He also championed the company’s 2021 Health and Elegance Sector Partnership with Purple Tuesday.

Horner claimed: “I am incredibly happy to have been appointed as Disability and Accessibility Ambassador for the retail sector – a purpose that I personally really feel extremely passionately about. The retail sector has been creating terrific development in bettering accessibility both equally for its buyers and in supporting extra inclusivity amongst the workforce. I really feel honoured to have been questioned to enjoy a broader job to enhance recognition and help continued progress for individuals with disabilities.”
