Have you ever created a PowerPoint but felt that it didn’t quite hit the mark? Ever used a WebQuest with students? If you want to enter the world of technology but need more information and useful tips before making that leap, join us as our experts debunk myths, offer insights, and help you effectively apply technology to your classroom or professional setting.

Focus
Technology, PowerPoint, WebQuest (an inquiry-oriented lesson format in which most or all the information that learners work with comes from the Internet), careers, ADE’s IDEAL Portal (Integrated Data to Enhance Arizona’s Learning)

Learning Outcomes and Indicators
By participating in this workshop, learners will:

  • Recognize appropriate applications of technology to classroom instruction by reviewing articles and scenarios of how technology has been/is being used effectively in the school setting.
  • Examine the merits and challenges of technological instruction by participating in specially designed activities that incorporate two or more technology applications.
  • Understand how technology can be used as a tool to enhance the implementation of Arizona’s Academic Standards, including the technology standards.
  • Explore diverse career opportunities in technology by participating in cooperative learning activities.
