“Reading” Geology Across the Centuries
October 20, 2007
Departs from Flagstaff

Central Arizona boasts some of the nation’s most magnificent geology. How do we “read” geology? What resources help us better understand those earth forces that created the formations and structures used by humans for millennia? Our tour begins in Flagstaff and follows an amazing geological tale down to Montezuma’s Well and the local area. Explore the fascinating evidence left by nature and us as we unlock the mysteries of geological time.

Focus
Geology, water, earth processes, literacy (expository text), careers
