AZventure Workshops
These free workshops are custom-designed by Arizona teachers for Arizona teachers to help you meet Arizona’s Academic Standards in math, reading, writing, technology and workplace.

AFRE’s AZventure workshops teach and model the latest research-based instructional strategies using natural resource themes as the context.

At each AFRE workshop, educators receive free instructional materials, and develop knowledge and skills that they can directly apply across a broad range of subject areas.

Our Approach to Natural Resource Education is Balanced and Comprehensive
We examine from various perspectives the environmental, economic and technological issues related to the use and management of our state’s diverse natural resources. Our unique collaborative partnership with business and industry allows our faculty and event participants ready access to industry experts and real-world learning opportunities.

AZventure workshops examine the key ideas of “systems,” “interdependence” and the “importance of where one lives” so that teachers and their students may achieve deep understandings about the world in which they live.
